EPDM Foam
DUTE has distinguished itself within the industry
and has been manufacturing synthetic rubber foams
since 2004. The company now offers two major rubber
foam series: EPDM, CR.
The EPDM series includes models that meet various
specifications, such as:
· Close Cell / Semi-Close Cell / Open Cell Structure
· EPDM sulfur-free type
· Anti-Static Properties
· UL94-HF1 Fire Retardant
EPDM Closed-Cell Foam
Closed-cell EPDM foam products are engineered with a sealed cellular structure that prevents
air and moisture penetration, making them ideal for demanding industrial and commercial
applications. These foams excel in waterproofing, thermal insulation, and vibration damping.
Base on the normal EPDM foam, DUTE has pioneered proprietary
technology to produce sulfur-free EPDM foam, which is a new standard in quality and performance.
This innovative sulfur-free foam is particularly well-suited for demanding applicationsin the automotive,
electronics, and semiconductor industries, where superior material purity and environmental
considerations are critical.
EPDM Semi-Closed Cell Foam
DUTE offers Semi-closed cell EPDM foam which combines a hybrid cellular structure, blending
isolated and interconnected pores to balance impermeability with controlled flexibility. This material
is tailored for scenarios requiring moderate environmental resistance alongside dynamic stress
absorption. Its unique architecture ensures adaptability across industries where partial airflow or
moisture regulation is advantageous, without compromising durability. Applications include HVAC
system gaskets (for condensation control), architectural expansion joints, sports equipment
cushioning, and automotive interior components like door seals. Its versatility bridges the gap
between rigid sealing and soft cushioning, making it indispensable for modern engineering challenges.
EPDM Open-Cell Foam
Open-cell EPDM foam features a porous, interconnected structure that enables air and moisture
permeability while retaining lightweight flexibility. Designed for applications prioritizing breathability,
acoustic absorption, and cushioning, this material balances softness with structural integrity, offering
unique advantages in environments where airflow or energy dissipation is critical.
DUTE’s Open-cell EPDM foam is widely adopted in automotive interiors (e.g., seat cushions, headliners),
HVAC air filters, medical equipment padding (for pressure redistribution), and sports gear like yoga
mats. Its breathability also suits green building designs, such as acoustic wall panels or eco-friendly
insulation layers requiring moisture management. Unlike closed-cell variants, it prioritizes comfort
and adaptability over rigid sealing, making it essential for industries where user comfort and
environmental interaction coexist.
